Well done to the minor football team who won all 3 of their matches on Tuesday, April 25th ! The girls qualified for the Leinster semi-final which was played on Wednesday, May 3rd against Portlaoise. We defeated Portlaoise on a scoreline of 9.5 to 1.7.The girls will now play the Leinster final on Thursday, May 11th in Kilcullen G.A.A. grounds against St. Mary’s SS Glasnevin.
There was a “Careers Fair” on Wednesday, April 26th. We had a total of 11 third level institutions in our school on the day. There was an opportunity for our T.Y., 5th & 6th year students to meet with the college representatives. This has proven to be a wonderful success over the past number of years.
On Friday, April 28th our T.Y. students went on a trip to the zoo. A great day was had by all where they learned all about biodiversity, adaptation and conservation.

Congratulations to our minor 4 x 100 relay team who came in second place in the south Leinster finals in athletics on Friday, April 28th and to Katie Taylor who won the 100m sprint, the girls now progress on to the Leinster final.
Congratulations to our 1st year soccer team who had a comprehensive victory over Ashbourne Community College on a score line of 8-1 . The girls will now play in the Leinster final on Wednesday, May 10th against Athlone.
On Wednesday, May 3rd the T.Y. students attended a talk on Road Safety in the Watergate.
We had a visit from Gaelbhratach head office on Thursday, May 4th. The committee were met with and there was an in depth discussion with the girls on their promotion of Gaeilge throughout the entire school.
On Thursday May 4th & Friday May 5th, our T.Y. girls are visiting the Fire Station in Kilkenny.
A number of our TY’s attended the St Vincent de Paul conference in WIT on Thursday, April 27th, organised by Ms Dooley.
