A busy day today in the school. The 3rd years visited Kilmainham Gaol with Ms O'Carroll, Ms Dowling, Ms Cooney and Mr Finn. They saw the former prison cells of the 1916 leaders such as Eamon De Valera, Plunkett, Clarke, Pearse, Grace Gifford etc. They were also in the stonebreakers yard and the chapel. Afterwards the girls also walked through the Garden of Remembrance. Some of the TY's attended the St Vincent de Paul conference in WIT today, organised by Ms Dooley.Last night our team of TY girls, Kayleigh Soden, Sarah Cody and Clodagh Henderson competed in the Junk Kouture Grand Final in Dublin. Their costume entry entitled 'In-dust-trees' looked fantastic and Clodagh was a great model. Well done to the girls and their teacher, Ms Hennessy, for reaching the finals.
