Camogie is a very popular sport in Presentation. We have a 1st year team, minor team, junior team, senior team and an u16 seven aside team. All teams compete in the Leinster A grade. In the 2013/14 academic year our senior camogie team won the Leinster Championship and went on to be crowned All Ireland Colleges Senior A champions.
The Presentation has a large number of students participating in both the cross country and track and field championships each year. The proximity of the school to the running track is a huge bonus as it can be used for training.
The popularity of gaelic football in the school is growing each year. We now have a very competitive 1st year team, minor team and junior team. Next year we also hope to enter a senior team which will mean that students of all ages will be catered for.
Soccer is a relatively new sport within the school but there is huge interest among the students. As a result, this year, we have 4 different teams entered in both cup and league competitions. There is a 1st year team, under 15 team and an under 17 team. All teams are competing in the top grade and are highly competitive.
This year we have started a Presentation Transformation which is an initiative aimed at improving the fitness levels of as many students as possible. It involves the students giving up the first half hour of lunch on a Monday and Wednesday to run/power walk the ring road. The students will then test their fitness levels by participating in a number of charity runs throughout the year.
